Brett C. Bauer currently serves as Executive Vice President of Strategic Corporate Development. Prior to joining Berry in 1997, Mr. Bauer was the Chief Financial Officer of Venture Packaging, Inc., which was acquired by the Berry that year. Prior to this, Mr. Bauer started his professional career with the accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins and Sells. During his tenure with the Company, Mr. Bauer has worked extensively on merger and acquisition transactions and currently oversees all of Berry’s corporate development activities. Mr. Bauer has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University.
Mr. Manu Bettegowda has been Partner at Olympus Partners since 2005. Mr. Bettegowda is responsible for new investment solicitation, due diligence, and monitoring several of its portfolio companies at Olympus Partners. He joined Olympus in 1998 as an Associate. Previously, Mr. Bettegowda worked at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and refinancing of middle market companies. He serves as Director of Pregis LLC, Liqui-Box, Amspec and The Foodware Group. Mr. Bettegowda served on the Boards of PSAV, The Waddington Group, PLZ Aeroscience, Tank Holdings Corp., and Ann’s House of Nuts. Mr. Bettegowda holds A.B. from Duke University.
Jeff Cloetingh is a Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s Boston office. As a member of the firm’s Packaging and Industrials practices, he has worked with clients on the development of global growth strategy, go-to-market commercial strategy, roll-up strategy, digital packaging and printing strategy, and M&A transaction support.
Prior to joining L.E.K. in 2011, Jeff focused on incentive plan design and competitive benchmarking at a boutique consulting firm. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University.
Thilo Henkes joined L.E.K. in 2000 and has more than 17 years of consulting experience specializing in transaction support and developing post-acquisition, value-enhancing strategies for clients. He is a Managing Director and Partner, and leads our Paper Goods and Packaging practice. Thilo is also active in our Building Materials & Industrials Products and Private Equity practices. He has worked with his clients to evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities, assess growth options in new markets and new products, construct business plans in conjunction with developing new growth strategies, and identify value in cost-cutting initiatives. Prior to attending business school, Thilo worked in financial services for the Boston-based mutual fund company, Massachusetts Financial Services and Goldman Sachs. Thilo has also worked at Daimler Benz in Sindelfingen, Germany. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Hamilton College.
Nik Kloepfer is a Managing Director in J.P. Morgan's Global Industrials team with a particular focus on the packaging space. He has executed 60+ advisory and financing assignments on behalf of his clients across a variety of industries and markets including, mergers & acquisitions, takeover defense, hostile transactions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. He also has had extensive experience advising a number of clients and boards in their dealings with shareholders. Prior to his current role, he was an Executive Director in the UK Corporate Finance team at J.P. Morgan Cazenove.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Cazenove in 2007, Nik worked at both Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and HSBC for a combined period of 7 years. During this time he was involved in both transaction execution and industrials & building materials industry coverage. Niklas graduated in 2000 with a BA (Hons) in Accounting, Financial Management & Economics from the University of Sheffield. He resides in New York City with his wife Susan and their two children and is a member of the Board of Advisors for Change for Kids, a New York based educational charity.
Ciaran is VP Business Development and Director of Operations - Asia for Smithers. This includes multiple events across Asia across 3 brands and 10 vertical markets including packaging, biomaterials, polymers and rubber, print and packing. Ciaran is also responsible for Smithers Reports and Consulting business providing authoritative and independent market data, forecasts and strategic insight across these.
