Jon Moss is a Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s Chicago office. Jon is a member of the firm’s Industrials practice, with a focus on the Paper & Packaging and Building & Construction practices. He has worked on growth strategy engagements focused on both U.S. and international opportunities and has supported corporate and private equity clients on buy- and sell-side transactions.
Thilo Henkes, Managing Director, L.E.K. Consulting Thilo Henkes joined L.E.K. in 2000 and has more than 17 years of consulting experience specializing in transaction support and developing post-acquisition, value-enhancing strategies for clients. He is a Managing Director and Partner, and leads our Paper Goods and Packaging practice. Thilo is also active in our Building Materials & Industrials Products and Private Equity practices. He has worked with his clients to evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities, assess growth options in new markets and new products, construct business plans in conjunction with developing new growth strategies, and identify value in cost-cutting initiatives.
Rob is the former CEO of Sonoco (NYSE:SON), one of the largest diversified global packaging companies, with sales of over $5 billion and over 20,000 employees working in 30 countries.. Prior to being named CEO, Rob served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonoco, with global leadership, sales and operating responsibility for all of the Company’s diversified consumer, industrial and protective packaging businesses.
Prior to joining Sonoco, Rob worked in private equity as president of Bostic Packaging/ CorrFlex from 2000 to 2004 and president of Sterling International from 1998 to 2000. He also served as EVP of operations for Graphic Packaging’s flexible packaging division.
Currently Rob is an advisor and board member of several private companies.
Rob is active in industry and community organizations and serves on the board of trustees of Azusa Pacific University and is the former chairman of the Flexible Packaging Association and the Hartsville United Way. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Rob became a US citizen in 2013. He and his wife Val have three grown children.
Pat is a member of the Industrials Investment Banking Group, responsible for the firm's paper and packaging franchise in North America. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2015 as an associate and was named managing director in 2021.
Prior to joining the firm, Pat worked in the industrials investment banking groups at both Barclays and Nomura. Earlier in his career, he worked at Accenture and focused on corporate finance in the communications, high tech and government practices.
Pat earned a BA in Economics and an MBA from Georgetown University in 2004 and 2013, respectively.
Ciaran is responsible for delivering Smithers global growth initiatives and supporting Smithers Asian client base.
Ciaran has been working for Smithers for nearly twenty years supporting the packaging, print and paper value chains with key market and technical information in the form of conferences, reports and consulting. Ciaran has worked on winning and delivering a wide range of market consultancy projects to major industry players, recent projects include a global assessment of printing and packaging growth trends and market assessment for a major new product launch for one of the world’s largest packaging converters.
Ciaran has launched and managed many international conferences in this sector including Digital Print for Packaging, SustPack, Specialty Papers and Print Futures.
Sergio Pupkin is a global C-suite executive and active Board Director focused in B2B markets, packaging, automation, services and specialty chemicals. Over an extensive career, Sergio has consistently delivered profitable growth, and transformative results in situations of turnaround, scale-up and mature businesses in publicly and privately held companies. For more than 20 years, he developed a unique multicultural approach through assignments in North America, Europe, and Latin America regions in which he lived and performed business.
